This is the Great Commission,
our calling from the Lord, using
airplanes and aviation to "make
disciples of all nations."
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:31

What is missions aviation?
|
While many people think of a missionary pilot as one who flies
in exotic locations like South America, Africa or Southeast Asia, a
true missionary pilot is one who knows that God has called him
to use a passion of aviation wherever and for whatever his
calling may be. This calling may take them into foreign jungles
flying bush style aircraft like a Helio Courier or Quest Kodiak, or
it may keep them here in the United States serving the Lord
flying in corperate aviation or for a major airline. Missions
aviation generally includes such actions as humanitarian and
medical evacuation flights and ministry and supply
transportation, but is not limited to only this type of flying. Flights
like these are vital in the call of the great commission of
spreading the Gospel of Christ.
Why is missions aviation important?
|
Aviation plays a vital role in the ministry of helping to spread the Gospel of Christ all
over the world. The role of missions aviation is to assist the work being done by
missionaries, including the pilots themselves, in reaching the world for Christ.
Missionary pilots provide transportation for ministry as well as haul cargo of various
types, like mail and food, to people in remote places where cars and trucks can not
go. There are still many places on this earth unreachable by anything but walking
or by airplane. Even in places where other transportation is available, the speed of
an airplane can make a life-changing difference.
How is Eagle Flight involved in missions aviation?

Welcome to Eagle Flight Aviation Ministries International
EagleFlight Aviation was formed as a means to provide for the need of aviation
ministries. We are dedicated to those who serve the Lord with their passion of
aviation. Whether in a far off jungle flying a Cessna 180 or here in the United States
serving God as pilot of a Cessna Citation, both positions are places of honor for
those who dedicate every day to this high service. EagleFlight Aviation Ministries
uses aviation to further Gods kingdom in three individual ways:

The Great Commission
19 Go then and make
disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name
of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit,
20 Teaching them to observe
everything that I have
commanded you, and behold,
I am with you all the days
([perpetually, uniformly, and
on every occasion), to the
[very] close and
consummation of the age.
Amen (so let it be).
